Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
